First edition of this scarce book subtitled " Recollections of a Sportsman". Part 1 deals specifically with the tactics of fishing for grayling. His observations on flies and their dressings being the most noteworthy chapter. Part 2 is  a  series of 'recollections' and reminiscences.  The book is in good condition with a bright gilt title on dark green boards. The binding is tight while internally there is an ink name and short address and some foxing inside the cover. Otherwise the book is clean and unmarked. Published in 1895 by 'The Angler'  Co. Ltd, Scarborough this is  a wonderful book for the real grayling enthusiast.
