A veritable collectors' title, beautifully bound in embossed bottle-green cloth with gilt titles to the front and spine, c/w fold-out map of  the central and western borders. Subtitled  'and of the Border Counties, embracing the Practical Experience of Thirty Years' Fishing with Map and Routes'. The book is divided into Parts - the first looks at methods, and the subsequent four parts at waters. There is the odd pencil annotation and the map has been repaired with gummed postage stamp edging. There is occasional spotting, peripheral yellowing to the pages and the corners of the covers are bumped. For a book that is 150 years old this year it is a gem.
